I was a struggling MLMer just a few years ago. I was working my tail off and getting nowhere. I talked to my warm market, not just once, not twice, but three times. I made my list of friends and acquaintances and contacted them. I hated that process.
I spent hours on the phone calling people on lists of leads. I invited tons of prospects to hotel meetings. I had home business presentations.
I set up endless firm telephone appointments with people who seemed to have some interest in what I was offering, only to find they had apparently disappeared off the face of the earth. My condolences to their family and friends.
I mailed samples and CDs. The post office loved me and knew me on a first name basis.
I started having some success, but few in my downline were able to duplicate my success. I just didn’t like the prospecting process of having to chase after people and try to convince them to join my MLM business opportunity.
My wife told me to get out of the industry – I just wasn’t cut out for it. I don’t think I was incompetent. I just think I was using marketing methods that don’t work anymore, at least for most people.
I don’t blame anyone for that. I feel that my sponsors were very well intentioned. Some of them were having a lot of success. They were possibly people who had a sales background. Or maybe they had the natural ability to relate to people.
Again, I am not criticizing anyone. I’m only speaking for myself. Those methods just didn’t work for me. Maybe you can relate to that.
I feel very fortunate that things have changed for me now. I have found a marketing approach that resonates with me in a big way. I no longer chase after prospects. In fact, they chase after me. Now that’s the way to run a business!
My entire prospecting experience is loads of fun now. I have more leads than I can possibly handle.
Prospects are now contacting me. Most of them know me from the information I have sent them on the web. By the time they contact me, they are already sold on what I am offering. What a neat concept!
The approach is called internet attraction marketing For me it has been the reason for the turn-around in my business – from being a struggling MLMer to having major success in this industry.
