Social Media is anywhere online where you can interact with your prospects including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, your Blog and even your articles because people can comment on those articles on the submission site. They were re-introduced with the last Facebook re-design because they give businesses a place to openly market themselves without the fear of getting banned for excessive marketing messages. If you have any kind of online business you need to get one of these pages.
Google indexes the Public Profile Pages so just that fact alone will increase your visibility online! Every piece of new content you add to your page has the possibility to go viral! There is also no limit to the number of fans you can have on your Public Profile Page as opposed to the 5,000 friends limit on the rest of the site.
Advanced Visibility Tip #2 – Article marketing is a fabulous way to gain visibility online but to take it up a notch you can gain even more by becoming a top ten author in your category on the Ezine Article site. Ezine Articles has over 15 million unique visitors a month so imagine the visibility you would gain by being on that top 10 page for your category.
To find out how many articles you need to write to be on the top ten page go to the Ezine Article home page and click on your category in the master list. This will take you to a page with all the articles in that category. At the top towards the right is the link to the top ten authors. Click there to find out how many articles author number 10 has written and write one more. Once you reach the top ten set a goal to move up the list.
Advanced Visibility Tip #3 – The final tip is how to get more visibility for your blog. Go to Google Blog Search and find some other blogs related to your niche. Then spend some time reading and commenting on them. If possible find Blogs that will allow you to list your website and Twitter link. Make sure you write something meaningful that would encourage conversation instead of the generic “great post”.
When you write a new Blog post look for another related post that you can reference and then add that link to your post. Then you can link to that post in the Trackback section of your dashboard. This builds back links which will also help with visibility because it increases your SEO. The Blog owner will be more likely to accept the trackback if you have commented something intelligent on his post.
