PURPOSE
Are you fearful that Network Marketing businesses will not be around for the long haul? Do you lack the knowledge to maintain and grow your business? Are you overwhelmed with the staggering statistics regarding the number of individuals who you heard have become millionaires through their network marketing businesses and you think you will not? Do you think that your business will become stuck and never grow? Network Marketing also referred to as Multi-Level Marketing or MLM, there is a well-known fact that this business model has created quite a few millionaires and many “hundred-aires” yet the question of whether Multi-Level Marketing businesses will continue to exist remains a common one.
Since the recent economic downfall that this country experienced during the last 8 years many college students as well as baby boomers are taking note because their futures are in question and they are turning toward MLM’s.
College graduates cannot find jobs and have to take whatever comes their way just to pay the bills. According to the bureau of labor 12.8 million college graduates (under the age of 30) are either currently unemployed, working only part-time or are working at a job that doesn’t even require a college degree.
The reality that the vast majority of baby boomers are facing is, as they head into retirement their retirement plans are not so grand. These 76 million individuals born between 1946 and 1964 who made up 40% of the U.S. population by 1964, unlike the college graduate, baby boomers do not have youth on their side they are not in an auspicious position. In fact, since January 2011 a new person turns 65 every 7 seconds (10,000+ people per day) and this will continue till 2030! The most important characteristic of baby boomers is that they control 80% of the wealth and 80% of the spending in this country. On the other hand 60% have lost their investments, 42% ARE BEING forced to delay retirement and 25% claim they will never retire but according to resources this number is higher it is 40%! This 40% represents the number of individuals who will be forced to work till they drop.
DIRECTED
The question was whether network marketing businesses are here to stay. Well, they are growing stronger now than ever simply because they allow individuals to buy back their time it creates FREEDOM. This industry and business model allow baby boomers to retire with residual income. They allow college graduates to become business owners and have options. Network Marketing allows individuals regardless of age to create a stable lifestyle, to have control over their lives, to not worry about downsizing, layoffs or vacation time. MLM’s allow for the true ability to obtain wealth by leveraging the time and work hours of other individuals. Multi-Level Marketing businesses allow for business ownership when other traditional businesses are not viable or financially possible.
The harsh truth is for many college graduates is that they must join a network marketing company to provide for themselves. Whether you actively recruit members of this group or not many will end up being a part of your organization because there are so many and they need your HELP. These same individuals are finding out that as they enter the MLM industry they are in a much better position than if their original plan had panned out.
The baby boomers who find themselves in this position must be able to create wealth quickly. Their futures are of the utmost importance because they see that they do not have a finite number of good working years. Therefore, these individuals are looking to maximize their position and are aggressively seeking Multi-level marketing businesses, which many are finding that due to their lack of planning the network marketing industry is a viable and successful option for solidifying their future.
SUCCESS
Let’s get back to the original question again. Is Network Marketing here to stay? I would answer a resounding, YES! If you look at the outlined options for the recent college graduate and the baby boomer in this country today these individuals will continue to turn to network marketing. Especially due to the level of success that they are experiencing because of it. Therefore, this model will continue to grow and maintain its solid standing in business. I find it an interesting phenomenon though that of all the industries that a person can turn to they are turning to the one that seems to be the most scrutinized yet many are finding this type of career change as their saving grace to receiving their Purpose Directed Success.
