Which one to choose? If you read the reviews and forums, you will find proponents for both sites. In fact, it seems that both programs are quite similar. They both are comprehensive, having an abundance of excellent resources and tools and techniques to get you started in online marketing. Both are really good programs for teaching a beginner the basics of starting an online business, and they have lots to offer the intermediate and more advanced marketers as well. Both programs will undoubtedly equip you with all you will need to make money online.
Profit Lance offers a step-by-step weekly plan to make sure you’re getting trained in the basics. However, if you have more time or are in a rush to learn quicker, you can explore the other different modules presented in the membership website. Wealthy Affiliate has an 8-week action plan to train beginners in online marketing essentials.
Profit Lance provides its members with several pre-designed, fully automatic websites from which to practice. These come with the membership cost; no hosting fees are incurred nor fees for domain names. The drawback to these sites is that all the members get identical sites. However, you can tweak the sites to make them more unique and original. In fact, you’ll probably want to do this at a certain point as search engines are not partial to duplicate content.
Wealthy Affiliate doesn’t provide its members with websites. What is does is provide a simple-to-use website builder called Site Rubix. Tutorials teach the members how to set up their website and hosting. Wealthy Affiliate will give each member free hosting for up to three sites, but the member has to buy his own domain name.
A strong suit of Wealthy Affiliate which many of its members seem to appreciate is the forum where there is a lively interchange between members. There appears to be a strong sense of community in Wealthy Affiliate, a sense of camaraderie with the more experienced members sharing tips and advice with the less experienced ones.
The strong suit of Profit Lance is the membership fee. It costs $77 to become a member for life; there is no recurring monthly billing. For that amount, a member has unlimited access to all the resources, and these are continually being updated. Thus members have the luxury of learning and applying their skills at their own pace. Wealthy Affiliate charges a monthly fee of $40 a month (it used to be $30).
Again, both systems are excellent. There are advantages to each one. Your choice would depend on your learning style, your budget, and the type of personality you have.
